A typical technique to “control” a training class is controlling the questions being asked.  If you ask something an instructor does not know they’ll often deflect it with a response like, “Great question……but not on the exam, so let’s move on.”

You feel flattered for asking such an insightful question, but also figure that they know what they’re talking about, so your hand comes down and the class moves on.

But you did not get your question answered, did you?

Of course there are things that we don’t know—nobody can know everything, it’s too broad a business.  If we don’t know, we’ll find out and tell you the next morning.

So, will you be able to ask questions?  You bet.  In fact, you’ll be urged to, and the only ones that won’t be answered are the ones you don’t ask.
